In profound gratitude, I raise my heart to the God of wisdom and knowledge who has showered upon us His blessings, shared with us His gifts of knowledge and understanding. As always, He beckons us to know and love Him, much beyond our simple knowledge gained through textbooks and examinations because ultimately He is the source of all knowledge and wisdom, who can truly awaken and enlighten us. Without Him all our learning and knowledge will be of not much value.
It is a common misconception that most people tend to assume that intellectual education is the medium which helps us attain good jobs, earn wealth and luxury and live a comfortable life. However, we all know that we need to not only grow in our intellect, but also in our heart and spirit –that is, grow in our values, positive attitudes, actions; behaviours which will have a larger impact on all we encounter in life.
It is a well-known fact that in our Sahoday Junior School, our goal is to provide our students an education that is not just intellectually and mentally stimulating, but one that is also value and service based an education that empowers students to grow and develop to their full potential. Together with the cooperation from parents, we are committed to a transformation process which will mould our children to be better citizens of our country.
Let us hope and pray that the children in our school be endowed with courage and commitment to practice the good values in life which they have learnt during their student life. May they sparkle and radiate these values wherever they are.
In accordance with the name of our school Sahoday (Rising Together), let us trust in God’s providence and reach greater heights.
